JELLYFISHNarrativeBased on real life events, Danielle Hoult plays a fictional version of herself, as a teenage soccer player, forced to stop playing soccer due to chemotherapy radiation. After having lost her hair, and now living with a wig, she must face her fears in returning to practice. In preparation she paints her nails with her favorite stencil of jellyfish, a talismanic symbol and feminine amour. Jellyfish is a quiet and tender portrait of a real girl’s life, with little dialogue, using visual imagery and sound to tell its story emotionally.
